Shade Grade: A
Very hardy, great color, great for dividing. Older blades get rust spots.
Golden Variegated Sweet Flag
Initially purchased as a perennial planter accent, I ended up dividing it when it started hogging space in the pot. I wish I had done so sooner – it’s been a fantastic plant for propagation. Because so few grasses work well in shade, especially ones with interesting color, I’m pretty thrilled to see this performing so well. This plant performs best with constant moisture (not standing water). It will adapt to average moisture, but prolonged dry spells may cause leaf tips to brown.
