If the shrub becomes too large, it can be cut to 12 to 18 inches tall in late winter and allowed to regrow the next season.

    Gardener's Log

02/2020: I swiped berries from a shrub at LFP town center in 2019 which I accidentally left dried out in my purse for a year. Planted seeds indoors in small pots with growing media.

09/2020: Plants were large enough to plant in the ground, planted 3 along back of garage.

03/2021: Planted final 2 sadly rootbound plants along creek

    About Me

Hi! I'm Lorie and I wrangle plants in a muddy, feral shade garden in the Pacific Northwest. I built this site to serve as a gardening journal and quasi-accurate record of planting successes and failures. My goal is to help "future me" be a better gardener. I hope what I've learned along the way can be useful to you too. Thanks for visiting!
