Goldenrod ‘Sweety’

One of my favorite xeric plants, these Goldenrod ‘Sweety’ burst into flower each June, with fluffy yellow flower spikes perfectly complementing the pink-blooming sedums and lavender flowers that surround it.

As a test of their hardiness, I planted a grouping of 3 directly into a bed of gravel that surrounds a service pole guy wire. And they love it. This area will likely be taken over in a few years by the nearby Green Giant Arborvitae. Otherwise, I’d be inclined to plant more.
