Arctic Beauty Kiwi

Actinidia kolomikta 'Arctic Beauty' [ak-tin-ID-ee-ah koe-lo-MIK-tah]

I planted one of these years ago in a shady spot where it languished, growing poorly until it finally petered out and died. Too much shade, poor soil and root competition from other plants in the areal. I’m trying again in a sunnier spot, a trellis I recently attached to the house along the front sidewalk. I’m thinking it will look fabulous up against our white walls and red trim.

    About Me

Hi! I'm Lorie and I wrangle plants in a muddy, feral shade garden in the Pacific Northwest. I built this site to serve as a gardening journal and quasi-accurate record of planting successes and failures. My goal is to help "future me" be a better gardener. I hope what I've learned along the way can be useful to you too. Thanks for visiting!
