Pineapple Lily ‘Tiki’

Eucomis 'Aloha Lily Tiki'

This plant died!

It just never came back after the first year.

I’m not sure these tropical looking bulbs will be hardy enough to last through our winter, but I’m taking a chance! The nursery tag states zone 7 (we are zone 8) but I’ve planted them on the west side of the house in a somewhat sheltered location. I don’t have the patience to run around pulling bulbs in fall so they’ll have to tough it out in the ground. So we shall see if they pop up next year.

Whelp, none of the 2 (or 3?) that I planted emerged again in spring. So much for being rated Zone 7!

About Me

Hi! I'm Lorie and I wrangle plants in a muddy, feral shade garden in the Pacific Northwest. I built this site to serve as a gardening journal and quasi-accurate record of planting successes and failures. My goal is to help "future me" be a better gardener. I hope what I've learned along the way can be useful to you too. Thanks for visiting!
