Miss Grace Dwarf Dawn Redwood

Metasequoia glyptostroboides 'Miss Grace'

This wonderful little tree gets oohs and ahs all year long, but especially in the spring as its chartreuse buds begin to emerge in a sparse fernlike pattern. The leaf pattern combined with the interesting branch structure gives a bonsai like feeling. It really is eye catching and a great centerpiece for your patio or deck. I suspect ours would be a little more full with more sun exposure, but the open growth is actually very attractive on this tree.

Absolutely stunning small tree for part shade - looks great and performs well in a pot.

    About Me

Hi! I'm Lorie and I wrangle plants in a muddy, feral shade garden in the Pacific Northwest. I built this site to serve as a gardening journal and quasi-accurate record of planting successes and failures. My goal is to help "future me" be a better gardener. I hope what I've learned along the way can be useful to you too. Thanks for visiting!
