Hosta ‘Blue Mouse Ears’

Hosta 'Blue Mouse Ears'

This guy got outcompeted by some purple New Zealand Burr and I moved it – seems to be pretty happy in fairly poor soil but does show some slug damage and slow growth. I’d love to have a large mat of these guys if I could find a spot for that – and wanted to spend the buy a bunch at once – they seem to cost as much as any other hosta despite their diminutive size!

This one gets an honorary A because I've abused it and it's still trucking along. Slow growth and some slug damage are its only issues.

    About Me

Hi! I'm Lorie and I wrangle plants in a muddy, feral shade garden in the Pacific Northwest. I built this site to serve as a gardening journal and quasi-accurate record of planting successes and failures. My goal is to help "future me" be a better gardener. I hope what I've learned along the way can be useful to you too. Thanks for visiting!
