2017 NW Flower and Garden Show

Posted on February 27, 2017 Leave a Comment

John and I went to our first Northwest Flower and Garden Show on Saturday. I was sure we’d only be there an hour but stayed for 2+. In fact, I could have poked around for a little longer, but opted not to torture the husband who isn’t as much of a plant freak as myself. It was pretty amazing and I will definitely go back next year.

One interesting highlight for me was the discovery that they SERVE COCKTAILS. Yes. That you can walk around with. Like an adult person. Unfortunately we arrived around 10am so we opted out of day-drinking. But had I known about the liquid party favors we might have planned differently.

Other highlights included the plant market where vendors sold all manner of plants (which I bought of course), the vintage market (with curated antiques) and the stunning display gardens. We didn’t attend any of the many seminars or do any of the tastings, but maybe next year!

Cool terrarium from Primrose
Maybe replace the sad Tsuga next to the creek?

This place had lots of great indoor gardening supplies.

Easiest way to buy plants from a convention!

About Me

Hi! I'm Lorie and I wrangle plants in a muddy, feral shade garden in the Pacific Northwest. I built this site to serve as a gardening journal and quasi-accurate record of planting successes and failures. My goal is to help "future me" be a better gardener. I hope what I've learned along the way can be useful to you too. Thanks for visiting!
