Salvia ‘Mirage Deep Purple’

AKA: Autumn Sage 'Mirage Deep Purple', Texas Sage

Salvia greggii 'Balmirdepur'

Small ornamental sage in 4″ pots that picked up on a whim at Swanson’s. One of the few full sun plants I’ve bought so far, and the first salvia ever (aside from culinary sage). A shorter variety with deep purple flowers, I think they’ll be a nice complement to the shasta daisies bordering the retaining wall.

Full Sun plant! One of these days I'll measure how many hours of sun this sunniest part of the garden gets.

    About Me

Hi! I'm Lorie and I wrangle plants in a muddy, feral shade garden in the Pacific Northwest. I built this site to serve as a gardening journal and quasi-accurate record of planting successes and failures. My goal is to help "future me" be a better gardener. I hope what I've learned along the way can be useful to you too. Thanks for visiting!
