Hosta ‘Halycon’

Hosta 'Halcyon'

This variety has lived up to the promise of being ‘fast growing’. It’s big enough to split now, and it’s definitely worth propagating to other parts of the yard. I love the strong and lasting blue color, which seems to fade on other varieties late in summer.

05/2011: Planted in the North Side Garden in 2011. One of the hostas in the big online order I made that year.

    About Me

Hi! I'm Lorie and I wrangle plants in a muddy, feral shade garden in the Pacific Northwest. I built this site to serve as a gardening journal and quasi-accurate record of planting successes and failures. My goal is to help "future me" be a better gardener. I hope what I've learned along the way can be useful to you too. Thanks for visiting!
