Hosta ‘Great Expectations’

Hosta 'Great Expectations'

The nursery tag says it’s a large hosta, but I think it’s going to be a little while before it fulfills that destiny. After 6 years I’d say it’s still about a medium sized specimen. The chartreuse and forest green leaves are thick and waffled, and I bet it will be a standout when it reaches its full potential.

    About Me

Hi! I'm Lorie and I wrangle plants in a muddy, feral shade garden in the Pacific Northwest. I built this site to serve as a gardening journal and quasi-accurate record of planting successes and failures. My goal is to help "future me" be a better gardener. I hope what I've learned along the way can be useful to you too. Thanks for visiting!
