Hosta ‘American Hero’

Hosta 'American Hero'

This hosta has a very energetic shape with great contrasting variegated leaves. I wish it would have filled out more over the years – I think it might look better with several individuals in a mass planting.

05/2011: Planted in North Side garden. Moved around a bit to get it out of the sun. Part of the big online order.

    About Me

Hi! I'm Lorie and I wrangle plants in a muddy, feral shade garden in the Pacific Northwest. I built this site to serve as a gardening journal and quasi-accurate record of planting successes and failures. My goal is to help "future me" be a better gardener. I hope what I've learned along the way can be useful to you too. Thanks for visiting!
