Anemone x hybrida 'Lucky Charm'

I’m always thrilled to find a shade plant with interesting (i.e. non-boring-green) color. This plant is a larger member of the genus Anemone, of which the smaller wood anemone emerges along our front sidewalk in March. While the tall pink flowers will be interesting to see next spring, I’m mostly enthralled by the beautiful duotoned green/plum leaves that add an interesting depth to its mounded form.

07/2018: Purchased from Savage Plants, sat in a pot on the deck for a month. Planted under the stairs looking a big haggard.
