My intent is to have this hardy little clematis scramble up an ugly downspout and run along the deck railing next to our breakfast table window. It will hopefully be a nice addition to our dining nook view with the added bonus of obscuring some of the unsightly utilities that pepper the north wall.
Pruning group 1: blooms mostly on old wood. Prune (if at all) right after bloom
Hi! I'm Lorie and I wrangle plants in a muddy, feral shade garden in the Pacific Northwest. I built this site to serve as a gardening journal and quasi-accurate record of planting successes and failures. My goal is to help "future me" be a better gardener. I hope what I've learned along the way can be useful to you too. Thanks for visiting!
